The Facebook takeover is official…

Idol fans: get ready to add “American Idol” as a friend!

According to EW, the TV giant is expected to reveal online voting via Facebook for this season.

Fans will be able to vote 50 times for any contestant on the official “American Idol” Facebook page during each telecast.

In previous seasons, votes could only be phoned in or texted.

With Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez added to the judging panel, this season of “Idol” is definitely full of changes!
